After my stroke, this program helped me regain function more fully than PT alone. Within a month, I was playing pickle ball again. This stuff works.
I've started doing 15-min everyday with my mom, who is 84. And, sometimes we do 30-min. We love it!

Frequently Asked Questions
Who does The Balance Movement (TBM) aim to help?
These exercise programs are helpful for all ages and fitness levels. It is so important for any human body to focus on alignment, consistent movement, and balance.
TBM specifically aims to help people over the age of 50 who are starting to notice their bodies are not quite as resilient as they used to be. There are more aches and pains that, if left untreated, may result in inactivity or a serious fall.
TBM is for active people who are mobile and want to continue to be.
TBM is not for those who need assistance walking. TBM is not for people who cannot get down on the floor easily. TBM is not for people who are in acute pain from injury. The medical community is the resource for people with serious mobility issues or acute pain.
How do I sign up and what happens after the FREE-trial?

Why should I be aware of falling as I age?
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC):
One out of five falls causes a serious injury such as broken bones or a head injury
Each year, 3 million older people are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries
Over 800,000 patients a year are hospitalized because of a fall injury, most often because of a head injury or hip fracture
Each year at least 300,000 older people are hospitalized for hip fractures
More than 95% of hip fractures are caused by falling, usually by falling sideways
Falls are the most common cause of traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
In 2015, the total medical costs for falls totaled more than $50 billion. Medicare and Medicaid shouldered 75% of these costs.
An important remedy that the CDC recommends is to exercise.
How can this program improve my balance and prevent dangerous falls?
As we age, our muscles, tissues and joints start to lose flexibility and hydration. We need to move our bodies in an aligned way so we can rehydrate our muscles and connective tissue improving our proprioception and balance.
What if I am not flexible enough to do the exercises?
I get this question so often. Moving the body is the key to improving flexibility. Our goal with this program is to try to find the best alignment and form that you can without ever expecting perfection. So, if you are not flexible, you are in the right place here.
What if I am fit and already exercise. Is this program suitable for me?
Yes! Even the most fit body has a misalignment that should be addressed. This program is focused on alignment, posture, core strength and flexibility… everything you need to continue exercising in the optimal way. Do 15-minutes of these alignment-based exercises before or after your other activities to find your peak performance. World-class athletes focus a lot on form and alignment.
Why do I need to exercise every day?
1. Move it or Lose it- After age 50, we need to keep the body moving like a well-oiled machine. We don’t want to give our tissues a chance to lose hydration and stiffen up. The inactivity we could get away with in our youth is not afforded to us anymore.
2. The Power of Habit- we want to create a habit so we don’t have any mental anguish over whether we should do it or not. Just do it… every single day.
Is 15-minutes enough?
We embrace "quality over quantity" at TBM. Fewer repetitions performed with diligent form and intention on a consistent basis is much more beneficial than more repetitions done with sloppy form (which actually can be harmful). These 15-minute programs are designed to keep you doing the activities that you love injury-free. So, staying consistent with just 15-minutes a day will actually lead to you being more active.
NOTE: These 15-minute sessions can be paired for extended workouts.
How does this program qualify as expert instruction?
I first studied Pilates in NYC under the most esteemed teachers in the world. Over the past 20 years, I have opened two Pilates studios, and I hold two comprehensive Pilates certifications (Power Pilates and Romana's Pilates).
This program is tested. My clients have received great results and so have I. I am over 50 myself and do my program every day.
Over the past two decades, I have taught hundreds and hundreds of clients, who have taught me the brilliance of the human body, the value of willpower, the importance of connection and that movement heals.
